Dr. Venkat Srinivasan is a serial entrepreneur and was till recently Founder and CEO of RAGE Frameworks. Venkat has successfully built several knowledge-based technology businesses including eCredit (acquired by ICG), Corporate Fundamentals (acquired by IPREO) and recently Rage Frameworks (acquired by Genpact). The RAGE AI platform is pioneering the creation of intelligent machines in a wide range of industries and for a broad range of use cases. Venkat has also founded EnglishHelper, KnowYourMeds and AIinGov, all of which are social enterprises focused on education, health and government, respectively. Venkat is a uniquely experienced individual with expertise in multiple functional areas. He is an expert in knowledge-based systems architectures, artificial intelligence, computational linguistics, natural language processing and corporate finance. Venkat holds several patents related to flexible technology architectures. During his brief academic tenure, he has published over 30 peer reviewed publications in prestigious academic journals and 2 edited volumes. Recently, his book titled The Intelligent Enterprise in the Era of Big Data was published by Wlley in 2016 and he is the author of a forthcoming book titled The Rise of Intelligent Machines, also to be published by Wiley. Prior to founding eCredit.com in 1993, Venkat served as an Associate Professor at Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Business in Boston, MA. Venkat holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. Venkat is active in the community. He is a Vice-Chair of the Board of the American India Foundation dedicated to catalyzing social and economic change in India. Venkat is also a Trustee of BUILD, a non-profit organization focusing on entrepreneurship to excite and propel disengaged, low-income students through high school to college success in the U.S. He is a member of the Boston Harbor Now Advisory Board.
Sanjay Gupta is a seasoned business leader. He commenced his professional journey in finance in 1984 working across a range of reputed companies in India including the Tata Group, Eicher–Mitsubishi, Pepsico and Motorola. Sanjay joined American Express in 1996 and held a number of business leadership roles based in New Delhi, New York, and Singapore. During this time, he was responsible for consolidating and restructuring the company’s global financial operations and leading Customer Service for markets outside the USA, and was chairperson of company operations in India. During his career, Sanjay had hands-on experience undertaking a variety of initiatives. He has personally led the migration of activities across the globe, large re-engineering to achieve financial and operating transformation, integration of buy outs, and the ‘carve out – sale’ of business. In 2010, he decided to pursue a new career to build a social enterprise for giving back in a sustainable way. Sanjay assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at English Helper, Inc. Sanjay is committed to the need for education to achieve the democratic vision. He writes a blog column for The Economic Times, a leading business daily in India. In addition, Sanjay is engaged with the cause of children and youth as an active advisor/board member at Udayan Care and School of Inspired Leadership. Sanjay is also a teacher and coach. He is guest faculty at Duke University’s Executive Education Program and delivers programs on doing business across cultures, customer engagement, brand, and leadership during change. He coaches senior executives and business leaders with special focus on developing personal excellence. Sanjay is an advisor to Acumen India and a director for a number of companies across sectors including financial services, manufacturing and energy.
